The A-CSM session was perfect, not boring, at a good pace, with good content, good discussion, and the application of and chance to share and evaluate real world experiences. This is the second course that I have taken with David Bulkin. He is a terrific instructor and the reason that I have and will continue to choose GL over the competition. I did the Scrum Alliance CSM course on April 24-25, 2021 with this institution. David Bulkin is an effective Scrum Trainer. He understands that new material is not immediately registered in the brain and so he repeats and asks questions in different ways just to get us thinking. I appreciate his methods. He is also energetic. The course materials were useful and I am of the impression that he gauges his sessions based on the experience of his audience which is good. I plan to do the A-CSM with him.

I enjoyed taking my Advanced ScrumMaster course from Grow-Lean. David was a great instructor. He created a very interactive course that furthered our knowledge of Scrum and made us reflect on how we can better our own teams. The A-CSM class perfected the fit for the continuation of the CSM class. The materials and class structure, already built on an established baseline, provided a deeper-dive and advanced understanding of utilizing additional SCRUM techniques in a competitive Agile world. This was a refresher CSM course for me. My initial experience with Grow Lean was in 2015 with David Bulkin, as my class instructor in an in-person classroom setting. I was not sure whether an online environment would be beneficial for learning. But I have to command David for clarity of communicating key Agile concepts, ability to effectively train his audience via a remote setting and just an unbridled enthusiasm for Agile methodology. David is a master motivator, who keeps all of his class attendees engaged, participating and learning while have fun! Grow Lean is clearly the best in the business and David Bulkin proved this yet again. I appreciated an opportunity to enhance my knowledge of Agile methodology and looking forward to an Advanced CSM class next month!

If possible, I would have given six stars. As usual, David just doesn't stick to the Scrum Alliance material, but goes to the bottom of topics and shares his rich expertise and insight during the class which helps us to get a better grip on it. David Bulkin is an amazing instructor! I have taken several certification classes, and David is by far the best and my most favorite instructor ever.
David is highly knowledgeable and extremely personable. He easily kept the entire class engaged the entire 16-hour session by making everyone feel included. David also made the material easily digestible by presenting a fantastic breakdown of the information along with relevant real-life examples and experiences.
I was not initially excited about taking this class since it was a weekend session. Also, the class happened to fall on the same week that I moved into my new home. However, the time flew by extremely fast. During the time I was in attendance for David's class, I did not think about the many boxes that were sitting around my new home waiting to be unpacked. That says a lot about David and his teaching style.
I never actually saw David take a break during the class sessions. The students recognized David as an expert in his field and used their breaks to seek advice or gain more golden nuggets of wisdom from him. David is also a very positive person with great energy, which makes him extremely approachable.
If possible, I will definitely take more of David's classes.

The training offered by Grow-Lean for the Certified Scrum Professional - ScrumMaster was a master class on advanced scrum methodologies and theory. The material compiled and presented by Arlen Bankston was high quality and it was clear that we were in great and experienced hand for the subject matter.

David was a fantastic facilitator. The two days flew by quickly and everyone was engaged in the conversation. David effectively used Mural to create fun activities and made sure everyone had a voice and participated. There was also enough humor to keep learning fun and interesting, but not enough to be a distraction. I would absolutely take another course with David and Grow-Lean. Overall, this was a wonderful experience.

It was fantastic, cleared up so many of the concepts that I wasn't sure about and also provided some amazing insight on how to deal with things at the workplace, we went through many scenarios and discussed them in detail, and David Bulkin was amazing, willing to stay after class for as long as we wanted in order to help clear up anything we may have missed.

A-CSM training focuses more on the practical application of the framework than the overview (CSM). Performing mini "case-studies" as we go through the material is extremely helpful in learning how to apply and see real world examples of Scrum implementation. The Powerful Questions and Conflict sections are something we can all benefit from learning.

The class had a TON of real world examples and really puts a lot of your current mindset into perspective. It gave me a handful off new tools and ideas I could apply to my job the very next day, in fact I actually did apply a few.
David was really willing to go over something that I either had questions on or I was confused about. I could write a 5 paragraph essay about the parts I enjoyed but that is probably overkill. It was overall a really solid experience.

This is my second training with David Bulkin, David is a very active, energetic and a great trainer. He has in depth knowledge but has a down to earth personality when comes to his class. He teaches the subject extensively but in a interesting manner. I am very glad to have connected with him who's training made a big change in my way of thinking and career. Would like to comment about Online training session - Though I read the reviews by other students about the online training, was still skeptical when I was choosing mine.
But now after attending Grow Lean's ACSM training, I am convinced and have full confidence that It was really a best choice i made to attend Online session.

I have left with numerous valuable assets that I will apply immediately to my company and peers. How to better facilitate meetings, what powerful questions to ask and when to ask them, why cycle time is a valuable metric to use and so much more. Some online 2 or 3 day sessions could be stale and boring not so with Davids class. He kept a great pace and made it fun and very informative. I am grateful I took this class. I have left this class more confident knowing I’ll be able to take what I learned and apply it to my every day life and company.

I'm struggling to remember a time I had more fun in an educational setting than David Bulkin's ACSM course! It's obvious he is passionate about empowering others to effectively leverage scrum in the workplace and many of his lessons can be applied to everyday conversations as well. I strongly recommend this course to all CSMs with relevant scrum/agile experience and look forward to taking another course with David in the future!

You can pay in installments by choosing Splitit at checkout.
For Grow-Lean Alumni, log in or use your account email when registering, and receive an automatic discount. If you also qualify for another discount, request it, and, if your email matches, we know you are an alumni.
If you have a Visa or Mastercard credit card you can pay in monthly installments. There are no fees or interest if you pay on time! Your available credit must be enough to cover the full cost and there is a hold on your credit card for the amount that you have not paid.
For example, if your final fee is $999 and you choose three installments:
- You would pay $333 today and have a $666 hold placed on your credit card.
- The following month your credit card would be charged another $333 and the hold would be reduced to $333.
- Your final payment would be $333.
If you are not familiar with the term "hold" this is similar to what hotels do when you check in, to cover extra expenses you may incur including the mini bar.
The benefit to you is that you do not pay any interest or fees if all payments are on time.

David Bulkin is the Managing Director and Head of Training Services at Grow-Lean. He has 40 years of product development experience and stays current by continuing to engage in product development. In 2001, his eBanking Team at JP Morgan Chase implemented Agile practices under the guidance of Kent Beck, the father of Extreme Programming (XP). David left the bank to help grow the Agile community.
David supports teams and individuals in their Agile journeys as a mentor and coach. Unlike most trainers and coaches, he remains actively involved in product development, taking on roles such as designer, coder, tester, Product Owner, and Scrum Master. His hands-on experience and high-energy level ensure that you get practical and applicable insights in a fun, lively environment.
David's extensive background spans various industries, including manufacturing, marketing, sales, finance, and more. David started developing in 1984 when he built a package to simulate Major League Baseball games and run a fantasy league. After that, he worked on various development projects for the US DoD. In the early 1990s, he built an Internet startup that delivered some of the first profitable sites on the web. In the late 1990s, he joined JP Morgan Chase, where, in 2001, he led eBanking development using agile methods.
He was an independent reviewer of the original PMI-ACP body of knowledge and contributed to the Certified Scrum Master Exam questions. His thought leadership in 2009 on progressive elaboration for Agile requirements influenced what is now known as refinement, which was incorporated into Scrum in 2011.
David has trained over 20,000 students and influenced thousands more through public speaking and coaching. He delivers various training courses, including CSM, A-CSM, CSPO, and A-CSPO, and has trained over 10,000 students with the Scrum Alliance. His sessions are practical, energetic and fun, and based on his experiences in big and small organizations, David customizes the training for your needs so you get a practical perspective that can significantly boost your career.
